During the adventure that was the filming of Soul Street, they were struck by the commitment these street performers withheld, and more than the music they heard, it was the attitudes, personalities and personal stories that floored them time and time again.
From there, the partners decided that the concept of Soul Street was as much a lens to see the world as it was a production entity, and going forward the content created must always have that elusive quality that can only be described as “having soul”.
That is the heartbeat of Soul Street, but the blood running through the veins is the responsibility and compulsion to give back. Therefore every Soul Street project has a built-in component of paying forward and helping the subjects we spotlight – someway, somehow.
